Kenya Prisons Service Recruitment – April 2025: Opportunity to Serve Your Country

1. Recruitment of Prison Constables (Male & Female)

Minimum Requirements:


Must be a Kenyan citizen;


Must have a valid National ID;


No criminal record;


A minimum KCSE grade of D+ (plus) or equivalent;


Aged between 18 and 28 years;


Must be physically and mentally fit.

Recruitment Date: 30th April 2025

Location: Nationwide – venues to be announced by local security agencies.

2. Recruitment of Professional Cadet Officers, Technicians, and Artisans


The service is also recruiting qualified professionals to support its operations in various technical and administrative roles. This is an excellent opportunity for diploma, certificate, or degree holders to join the ranks as skilled officers.


Minimum Requirements:


Diploma/Certificate holders: Aged 18 – 28 years;


Degree holders: Aged 18 – 30 years;


Minimum height: 5 feet 4 inches (men) & 5 feet 2 inches (women);


Physically and medically fit;


Must have good hearing and clear vision;


Kenyan citizenship and no criminal record.
